Peter Fox, (retired Detective Inspector of NSW Police) is speaking at the launch of his book, Walking Towards Thunder in early September, 2019. Peter is the hero of many survivors of child sexual abuse. At great expense to himself and his family, he called for a Royal Commission into child sexual abuse in late 2012. A few days after he spoke at a public meeting in the Hunter Valley, PM Julia Gillard announced the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.

Peter Fox – Speaking at the launch of his book

In his book, Peter writes of how he came to the point where he believed he had no choice but to go public on what he knew about child sexual abuse and the cover-ups in the Hunter Valley. He also writes on the impact his decision to speak out has had on him, his wife, Penny and his family.

Peter’s book is a testament to a hero who gave his all so that those who had been abused in institutions could finally be heard.
